Patricia Heaton's tummy tuck was like having another
C-section, she says. "I would recommend it to anyone."
52-year-old Heaton, widely known as Debra Barone from the hit
TV show Everybody Loves Raymond, is not shy about her plastic
surgery procedures. Heaton openly spoke about her experience with
a tummy tuck and breast lift.
Her breasts, she says, were "horrifying."
And her stomach wasn't much better. "I had a big ridge of scar
tissue. My belly button was herniated. Then there was that skin
that hung there. It didn't work to suck it in. It wouldn't have
mattered if I had done 1,000 sit-ups. "
Heaton had several children and breast fed them,
causing her body to change dramatically.
In an interview with People magazine, she said,
"Vanity. I mean it, vanity. I had four babies and four C-sections,
and my stomach looked like the map of the world. My breasts were
hanging down to here from breast-feeding those babies and my nipples
were like platters. I wanted to fit into the gowns that I finally
got to wear. I had a breast reduction and a tummy-tuck and I feel
fine about that and I feel fine about saying I did it. There is
an awful lot of illusion in Hollywood, but it's better to be honest
if you can."
Heaton is an American actress best known for playing
Ray Barone's wife Debra Barone on the CBS television sitcom Everybody
Loves Raymond. In 2007, she made a return to sitcom television opposite
Kelsey Grammer in the Fox comedy series Back to You, which was cancelled
in 2008. She currently stars in the ABC comedy series The Middle.
